Dr. David Hamer
Orthodontist
I love being an orthodontist; to me it is the best job in the world. I was a member of the first graduating class of Western Albemarle High School. I graduated from the University of Virginia, the Medical College of Virginia with my dental degree and recieved my orthodontic training at Columbia University. I returned to Charlottesville in 1988 to join my father's practice. I am most thankful for my wife, Margaret and our three children Jack, Carden and Madeline.

Dr. Camden Brown
Orthodontist
I grew up in Hilton Head, S.C. I graduated from the University of Florida where I majored in neurobiology.I got my dental training at Harvard University and returned to the University of Florida for a Masters in Orthodontics. My husband Andrew is the son of a dentist. Andrew was drafted out of high school by the New York Yankees. His playing days now behind him, he has entered a Masters program in Architecture at UVA. In our spare time we enjoy cooking, gardening, and traveling.

Dr. Richard LeHew

Dr. LeHew had a successful practice in Richmond for 40 years and now offers his knowledge and expertise on a part time basis in our practice.
Something you may not know about Dr. LeHew: He holds the World Record for skeet shooting.

Office Manager
I have been with Hamer & Hamer Orthodontics since 1965 and have enjoyed my years in this orthodontic practice. I have seen many beautiful smiles and happy faces. I was born and raised in Albemarle County. I enjoy spending time with my husband, children, grandchildren, friends and extended family.

I have been with the Hamer team since 1987. I love watching the patients grow up and achieve beautiful smiles. I enjoy the challenges and rewards of our creative and innovative orthodontic office. I have two wonderful children, an adorable grandson and two very spunky pets. I enjoy animals, making soaps, and spending time with friends and family.

I have worked for Hamer & Hamer Orthodontics since 1991. My primary job is Lab Tech but I also assist at least one day a week. I love the creativity of the Lab and the communication with the patients when I am assisting. I am married with two wonderful children and live in Louisa County.

I have lived in Nelson County most of my life and have been married to my high school sweetheart Dennis for 20 years. We have a beautiful daughter Hayli. I have been in the dental field for 21 years and with the Hamer team for 15 years. The group that I work with is like a family to me. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, crafting and cooking.

Malinda W. Koenig

I was born in Richmond, and lived there most of my life. I have one son, 37 years old and a guardian son five years old and love spending time with both. I came to work for Drs. Hamer and Hamer in 1989 and have served as an appointment coordinator, lab tech, orthodontic tech, and insurance administrator. I love working with the patients as well as with the caring staff. It is truly a family atmosphere.

I live in Fluvanna with my husband, Jason, and teenage son, Colby. I enjoy attending my son's sporting events, riding 4-wheelers and going to car shows. I'm a proud supporter of Fluco and UVA athletics. I've been a part of the Hamer team since January 1996. I admire Dr. Hamer’s devotion to his patients and his family. The rest of the team is like my second family.

I was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and went to Dental Hygiene school at Old Dominion University, where I met my husband, Doug. We live in Earlysville where we raised our daughter, Monica and son, Kyle who is now at Virginia Tech. I have been a dental hygienist for 27 years. I love my job at Hamer & Hamer! In my free time, I love to be with my family and 3 dogs. I also like to read, garden, and hike.

I was born and raised in Augusta County and currently reside in Waynesboro. I am the proud mother of 23 year-old twins. When I am not spending time with my family, I like to cook, craft and read. I have been with the Hamer team since 2000. I enjoy getting to know my patients and their families. I like to keep up with their progress and see their final results.

I grew up in Western Albemarle and have lived in Madison for 10 years. I love spending time with my family and visiting with relatives in Nova Scotia, Canada.

I graduated from Western Albemarle and have plans to get my degree in dental hygiene.
