 After careful examination of your teeth and how they fit together, Drs. Hamer and Hamer have prescribed an appliance called the Bite Fixerâ which will assist in achieving the most successful results for your orthodontic treatment. This appliance will help position your teeth to “bite” correctly. It is very important to treat your new appliance with care. It is expensive and not indestructible. Proper care for your new appliance includes: - Do not chew on the springs - Do not bend the springs sharply with your fingers - Do not open your mouth excessively wide - Do not stretch the springs with your fingers These springs will only break if you have applied excessive forces. We value your time and do not want you to have to come in for additional appointments to replace the springs. A little care in treating your new appliance properly will prevent any additional time in our office and overall time in treatment. We hope that you will enjoy the benefits of this system. Drs.
