Welcome To The Orthodontic Practice Of What To Expect At Your First Visit At the free examination visit, photos will be taken of the patient’s face and teeth. Using these photos on the computer screen, Drs. Hamer & Hamer will illustrate all the orthodontic needs, which are visible without further records (x-rays). They will give their impression of what the treatment will entail an estimated treatment time and an exact cost. Options for spreading this fee out over the estimated treatment period can be obtained at this time. With this information and photos to take home that day, a decision can be made whether to proceed with treatment. The next step would be to complete the accumulation of diagnostic records by supplementing the photos with two x-rays and impressions for plaster models of the patient’s teeth. With this information, Drs. Hamer & Hamer can devise a complete treatment plan to present at the consultation appointment.
